Rope bridge
Working with ropes and knots gives us the chance to teach children a practical skill (tying tuff together is useful wherever and however you live) and gives them the chance to practice a simple and achievable skill that build motor dexterity and increases their confidence.
Working with rope bridges: operating as a team to get both ends of the rope tied to make the span tight, and then trusting each other’s work to bear your weight brings a whole new set of dimensions to the task – communication, negotiation, teamwork, and trust.
And at the end we found we’d made an assault course!
